Riverside Ranch GI Amaranth  N1506370   1-29-10 LA +VVV 87
Amara is in milk now, and boy can she ever milk. She is a 10lb first freshening yearling. She is so straight and uphill. Her dam is from Heritage Song has an LA of 91, is a gold butterfat award winner, and the sire from Goldthwaite has a 90 so we expect great things. Plus, we love black. Thanks to Mr. Littrell for parting with her. He should be commended for his willingness to work with 4-H kids. Amara won second place out of 21 kids at INDGA in May 2010. She never got less than 4th place all year and no class she entered had less than 12 does. Most had 20 or more. At the OK state fair she won Youth Grand Junior both days and first in her class in open. This year Amara took Reserve Grand Champion in Youth at Pride of Plains and took first in her class in open several times. We expect her to do very well when she matures as a senior doe. We retained her doeling and she is showing well also. Amara will more than earn her star this year. We are hoping to get an SG after appraisal this year. She has one buck reserved for 2012. She is bred to Riverside Ranch AF Ajax for a linebreeding on the Copper Hill Breakaway line. We are expecting monster kids from this breeding as Amara and Ajax are quite sizeable yearlings.
Due March 25th
These Nubians are solely owned by Annessa, my eldest child. She does almost all the work. She does all the milking, feeding, and barn cleaning. Mommy is strictly the pseudovet. Her two eldest brothers are the feed movers. Otherwise she and her siblings run the show, with her as the current CEO. She was the one who recruited her brother as barn help. She is working on a younger brother now. He can't wait to start milking his first goat this spring. She has a way or selling ice to my little Eskimoes, if you know what I mean.

While we do not take deposits, we do keep a running list to call folks who would like a kid. First come, first serve is how we write them down except in the case of a showing 4-Her, especially those who do LA and DHIR. We know it doesn't sound fair to say that, but as 4-Hers we know how hard it is for a youth to afford the same animals an adult can. Plus the DHIR and LA scores help us in deciding who to keep for the future and any scores the kids might have. We are getting more selective on selling intact papered bucklings. If we feel they are worthy the best price is when they are little. We are offering a special $100 price on buck kids under 10 days old when reserved ahead of time. So if you like something please let us know. The unclaimed bucklings will be auctioned with no papers as we have too many milk customers to be feeding buck kids that are useless to us. We use our milk customer money to fuel our operation so this is a necessary evil .Doe kids out of our show does will be kept and evaluated and of course the running list is for those we don't keep. We can only milk 8 does due to our time constraints and number of children, so unfortunately for us we have doelings to sell that we would like to keep. That's great news for our customers of course, so please let us know if you want to be on the list. Info is on the contact page. There is more health info on the kids page.
SGCH Riverside Ranch AF Sable  1*M N1372006
DOB 3-29-06   LA EVEE90
We bought this awesome doe from Mike Littrell. We think she is phenomenal. She appraised a 90 this year and also finished her championship in one season. She has a super tacked on udder and she milks up a storm. We expect her to top 3000 lbs. on her next DHIR. We can't thank the Littrell's enough for parting with her. Sable has officially earned her superior genetics award and also her milk star. She ended the year at 2165lbs in 2010, and that was without the first 80 days in milk. We think she can outdo this in 2011. She will be going to the Oklahoma State Fair and the Tri-State Fair. She already won BOB at Neosho this year, BIS and BOB at Pride of the Plains, this season. Sable is  AI'ed to Little-Bic's Brigadoon. Doelings will be retained, buckling available for private treaty. Due March 24th
Buttercup Acres Summer Berry N1522864  3-11-10 LA +VVV86
We affectionately refer to this doe as Pumpkin. She loves to eat and is round and a little orange. She is having some strange growth spurts lately but, we see future potential. She has an awesome  udder though and more than one judge has shared this opinion in the ring. She also produced beautiful twin girls. One of which earned a Jr.leg at 8 weeks of age this year. We will be repeating this breeding next year, to Heritage-Song Barbed Wire again. Please see her doeling on the junior page. Pumpkin is also a great milker and should easily earn her star this year as well. First doeling will be retained. She is due February 25th.
Dreamy-Hollow Arial 13*M  N1472252   2-27-2009  LA VEVV88
This might possibly be the easiest goat there ever was to milk. We bought her as a stay at home milker and were floored at the LA to receive such a high score. Arial is truly moving up in this world. We are taking her to the fair to complete our dairy herd. If you had told me last year Arial would do all this I would never have believed it. She has truly been a comeback kid, she and Ella should trade names.  Her DHIR ME is over 3000lbs. and we beileve she can make that happen.  She will be bred to Mmidnite Blue for silver kids. If you are looking for a fantastic milker that is pretty to boot, look no further than her kids. She freshened at 16lbs this year a day as a 2 year old, and I do believe she can hold more next year.  I am so glad I didn't make a fatal mistake and sell her. Arial is due February 26th.

Victory Meadows Leilani  N1521674  2-17-10 LA VVVE88

Leilani has absolutely blossomed. She has the best udder on the place, is a dream to milk, an awesome LA for a yearling , and the flashiest doeling we have ever seen. We expected great things, but she meets and exceeds our expectations. She freshened late this year in June so the OK State Fair will be the first ring she sees and we can't wait. Leilani will be bred to Midnite Blue, for silver kids, after this years babies, gorgeous is what you should expect, check out her doeling on the young stock page. Update, Lani took best udder at the fair as suspected. She was second place yearling, granted to body capacity, but that come with time, so we are thrilled with how she did. Lani is due April 11th.
