A little about us...
We are a homeschooling family, we currently have 7 children. The eldest is 13 and the youngest is due in February 2011. Six of our kids are biological and one is adopted from Russia. We have two children on the Feingold diet and one who is lactose intolerant but, handles goat milk just fine. It's a wild ride some days with this many kids and animals, but what would we do all day without either.
These pictures are from the day my kids caught the goat bug. We were in the Netherlands, just outside of Amsterdam. Strange place to catch it, I am sure. We lived on the German border as my husband is in the Air Force, so it was not to far away. It was my 5th child's third birthday and I wanted to make it special since he hadn't had an out of the house birthday yet. I had 11 kids to entertain since I had 6 and my good friend had 5 at the time. I found this goat farm that advertised parties, with a pony ride and bottle feeding baby goats, and goat ice cream to boot. The kids had a blast no one wanted to go home, not even our guests. In fact we went back to that goat farm several times during our tour in Germany. The last time we went, the farm hand that had done our tours each time, got to know us so well, she let my oldest deliver triplets that day. I explained we couldn't have a goat in Germany so the kids prayed we could move back stateside so they could make their dream come true and here we are.
